Battle of the Badges, a Cook-off for Brain Injury

by on April 11, 2018

Place your bets! Who makes the best slider – the Millburn police officers or the Millburn firefighters? Both are brave. Both are heroes. But WHO will make the ultimate slider? That’s what‘s going to be decided on April 27th at a cook-off being held at the Millburn Fire Department to benefit Opportunity Project. Through their Clubhouse model, Opportunity Project, which is also located in Millburn, provides support and re-integration services for adults with traumatic brain injuries and is open to anyone regardless of their ability to pay. The facts about brain injuries are staggering. In the United States, 5.3 million people are living with brain disabilities related to brain injuries and 2.5 million people sustain brain injuries each year. So, come out and join Millburn’s bravest and finest along with Millburn Mayor Debra Burstein and other members of the community at this family friendly event that will help make a difference in the lives of those living with brain injuries and their families and caregivers. The fundraiser will feature a dinner buffet, entertainment by So I Heard Music, door prizes and more.
