Local High Schools Ranked in the Nation’s Top 10%

Did you hear the news?! New Jersey continues to have some of the top public schools in the United States, according to one of the most recognizable national rankings in the country. Eighty-five New Jersey public high schools rank in the nation’s top 10%, that is more than twice the number when compared to last year according to U.S. News & World Report.

The rankings cover close to 24,000 public high school in the country. They use a variety of factors to come up with their rankings based on graduation rates, college readiness, reading and math proficiency and performance, performance by underserved students, and curriculum breadth. The publication measures college readiness by participation and performance on Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate exams. Our local high schools performed exceptionally well.
