Around the Towns – September Fairs and Festivals

From PlayDays in South Orange to Beer Tasting and BBQ in Westfield, we have rounded up the top September fairs and festivals in our towns.

9/16 Summit Art Festival and Car Show This event in downtown Summit will feature classic cars, arts festival, and live music on stage.

9/16 Fall Harvest Festival Bring the family to Fosterfields Living Historical Farm for an old-fashioned good time including open-air wagon rides, visits with farm animals, food trucks, live music, games, and demonstrations. Visitors can watch a blacksmith in action, help churn butter, and press apples for cider.

9/22 Alfresco at the Farm This family friendly event in Morristown puts an urban twist on a traditional country fair. Live music, relay faces, crafts and farm-fresh food will all be available. Make sure you bring an appetite and your dancing shoes!

9/23 Millburn-Short Hills Street Fair and Craft Show This fair in downtown Millburn will include Artists, Crafters, Vendors, Food, Rides, Live Music & more.

9/23 Westfield FestiFall – The festival features over 250 vendors, an arts and crafts show, an array of delicious food, non-stop music, activities and entertainment for children, and more!

9/24 Craft Beer Tasting and BBQ Westfield (to benefit the NJ Symphony) The event on Dudley Avenue will include local craft beer from Lions Roar Brewing Co., barbecue food from Westfield Caterer, Maggie Cooks, wine, 50/50 raffle, a wine auction, and live music by Watson.

9/25 Play Day South Orange Over 10 play areas from board games to basketball, radio controlled cars to rope jumping,

9/27 Uncorked and Uncapped – Wine, Beer and Food Fest (Wilshire Grande) Attendees will enjoy a wide selection of fine wines, craft beers, spirit tastings, restaurant samplings, an awards program, and a silent auction while supporting The Arc of Essex County.

9/29 Ales and Tales – Hosted by New Jersey’s #1 Zoo, supporters are able to sample over 50 craft beers and enjoy various games and entertainment – all set to the backdrop of beautiful Essex County Turtle Back Zoo

9/29 RocktoberFest – In Millburn’s Taylor Park rock all day with live music, wine and beer garden.Children will enjoy face painting, hair braiding, balloon animals, airbrush and henna tattoos, a photo booth, volleyball and other fall festival games.

9/30 Maplewood Art Walk and Music Fest – An art show on the streets of Maplewood Village. Shop for fine art and handcrafted jewelry, enjoy live music and performances and visit the one-of-a-kind local merchants and the eclectic eateries which Maplewood is famous for.

9/30 Springfield Fall Festival and Car Show There will be many activities including a car show.  Other activities include kids rides, a music festival & Veterans’ Ceremony, a model railroad presentation, historical horse & buggy rides, and a public safety demonstration. There will also be food vendors and street vendors.
