My wife and I worked with Vikas from February 2022 until May 2022, when we closed on the home we ended up buying. I work in northeast Pennsylvania and commute by car, whereas my wife works in NYC and commutes by train. Therefore, easy/quick accessibility to NJ Transit train station and I-80/I-78 were important factors. Vikas started by helping us identify New Jersey towns and neighborhoods that would work best for us, based on our commutes and other key factors. Next, Vikas provided us with listings, as they became available in the towns / neighborhoods that we were interested in. He met with us, whenever we asked him to, for open houses or walk-throughs at the homes we were interested in. When we found homes that we were interested in, Vikas not not only provided us with comps on other homes in the neighborhood that had sold over the past 12 months, but also explained to us what the numbers meant and what range a competitive offer should fall within. This guidance was extremely helpful given how aggressive the market was at that time. The first offer we made on a home we liked, while above the listing price, was not nearly as high as it needed to be in order to succeed. Vikas knew this and explained this to us, but he never pressured us to increase our offer since he could tell that we weren't as excited about this home as we needed to be in order to increase the offer. Although we did not get the home, that experience really increased our trust for Vikas. We knew we were working with the right agent, whose primary motivation was to help us end up in a home that we would be excited to live in. As we continued our search, we made two other offers, and Vikas helped us through those. We ended up getting the home we wanted - one that we were really excited to live in - in March. My wife Mary Jane and I worked with Amy Esposito to purchase our home in Glen Ridge, NJ. We originally met Amy in the fall of 2018 through a work colleague of Mary Jane and we quickly realized that Amy was going to be a good fit. Our search started in Madison and  Chatham, NJ. Four years ago,  I started throwing an annual client party for two reasons. My husband and I were living in Manhattan with our two young sons when we realized that our growing family needed to? take the plunge? into the suburbs. Despite the adverse circumstances (COVID, timing, etc) Abby's unique combination of professionalism and personal touch relaxed the process and, in my opinion, was most responsible for us making the home of our dreams a reality. Abby is thoroughly versed in NJ real estate and is clearly in tune with the rapid evolution of the market during the pandemic. She patiently takes the time to catalogue her clients' desires and understands that buying a home is more than an agreement and an exchange of money. Every house she showed us was informed by our tastes and extrapolated from our reasons for leaving Brooklyn for New Jersey. Abby was objective and helpful when we toured homes, not once pushing us into a decision before we were ready, and always available if we needed to talk or return to a property that we liked for further review. Given the number of folks moving over the past year or so and how busy she must be, both my wife and I were blown away by the level of attention Abby's work ethic enables her to provide. My wife and I lived in Hoboken for 16 years. After having our second child, we decided it was time to find more space. I work in NYC, so I need an easy commute. Since we didn’t own a car, our knowledge of the surrounding suburban areas was limited. We met Amy after being referred to her group by several friends. My wife and I recently decided to move out of Manhattan to purchase a house. Last summer I decided to satisfy my curiosity and check out the open house taking place right down the street from my house in Maplewood.
