It was such a joy to work with Abby! She's not only so professional, but extremely patient, accessible and knowledgeable. We were working with her from across continents, and she was always available to speak, amenable to any changes we asked for, and willing to adjust to our changing requirements. As first time nervous buyers, it was not only easy to work with her, but almost comforting that she understood what we were looking to buy. Abby helped us purchase our first home in a market where 15+ offers were being made on one property. We were new to the neighborhood and she was extremely insightful to help us make the right choice for our family. She has great relations with other brokers and that went a long way when we made an offer on our home. Very warm, personable and extremely likeable personality. If you’re looking for a realtor who will go above and beyond all your expectations, Abby Tanzer, is your girl. We got relocated from Boston, and had no idea about the Short Hills area. My husband was referred to Abby from a colleague at work. When I first spoke with her on the phone she told me I could call her at any time of day and she would get back with me shortly and she would always make time for us. Any questions we had should would answer, and even if she didn’t know she would research it until she found out. She picked me up from the airport when flying in to see homes. She would drive us around the area to teach us about Short Hills. She’s the type of person that knows everyone and everything. Moving is such a stressful experience to begin with and she made everything so much easier and whenever I got overwhelmed she was always there. She’s not just a realtor, but a therapist, friend, and even my emergency contact for my kids at school because we don’t know anyone in the area. You can tell Abby really cares about what she does and her clients. When we found our home, she was so helpful in the home buying process. I highly recommend choosing her, you can’t go wrong. I can’t say one negative thing about her.

Abby helped my husband and I buy our first home during the crazy 2021-2022 housing market. She was patient and informative from day 1, showing us homes at a variety of price points and towns in the initial months so we could get a sense of what we wanted/needed and where we wanted to live. She was honest and helpful in her advice, and didn't beat around the bush (which we appreciated)! She was always available to discuss comps, strategy for offers, and pros/cons of each property. Her input was spot on! She really knows her market! After months of looking, she never grew weary of us,and she was able to navigate us through a few "highest and best" offers. Once an offer was accepted, she navigated the closing process for us. Abby was a pleasure to work with while buying our first home. During our initial phone call she took the time to understand our needs and lay out exactly what she’d do to help us find the home of our dreams. My husband and I recently closed on a beautiful home in Short Hills, a success in no small part due to our fortune in working with Abby Tanzer from the Sue Adler Team. Despite the adverse circumstances (COVID, timing, etc) Abby's unique combination of professionalism and personal touch relaxed the process and, in my opinion, was most responsible for us making the home of our dreams a reality. Abby is thoroughly versed in NJ real estate and is clearly in tune with the rapid evolution of the market during the pandemic. She patiently takes the time to catalogue her clients' desires and understands that buying a home is more than an agreement and an exchange of money. Every house she showed us was informed by our tastes and extrapolated from our reasons for leaving Brooklyn for New Jersey. Abby was objective and helpful when we toured homes, not once pushing us into a decision before we were ready, and always available if we needed to talk or return to a property that we liked for further review. Given the number of folks moving over the past year or so and how busy she must be, both my wife and I were blown away by the level of attention Abby's work ethic enables her to provide. After we got into contract, Abby was able to lend a similar level of care and expertise, helping with coordination (inspector, etc) all the way to the final walkthru. In short, we are ever so grateful to have been shepherded through the process by Abby and would unquestionably recommend her to anyone who would ask.

We worked with Abby Tanzer from Sue Adler to find our first home together (after getting married in the midst of COVID)! Abby was nothing short of fantastic. She did a ton of prep with us ahead of looking at homes, took the time to understand our preferences and what was important to us, and  suggested new things to think about in the context of each house. She made sure that we saw the neighborhood that each house was in as we drove from one to another, ensured that we noticed little things (both good and bad) in the homes that we might not have otherwise, and was often better than us at understanding how our tastes and preferences evolved as we saw more and more residences. We were never fully sold on moving out from NYC to NJ when we started our process with Abby and she never pushed us or made us feel like we had to go ahead with a purchase - she continually said that she supported whatever decision was best for us, and would always be here to help later on, should we not decide to buy at this time. Once we did put in an offer on a house, we got to the part that we truly could not have done without Abby! She put together comps and pulled in resources to help us come to an offer price, walked us through the closing process, was there every step of the way when we had questions, and was always willing and ready to meet us, an inspector, an appraised, or anyone else at the home who needed to be let in. We are SO grateful we found Abby and cannot recommend her enough!
