Horse Riding at Watchung Stables, An Equestrian Tradition

Guided Horseback Rides at Watchung Reservation

Guided trail rides for riding enthusiasts nine and older are available at Union County’s Watchung Stable. Rides are held on Sundays, weather permitting, at 1:00 and 2:00 pm.

Each ride features a group of fifteen or more people riding along the bridle trails in part of the 2,065-acre Reservation in Mountainside. Rides are available on a first come, first served basis. Rides are open to riders ages nine and older, regardless of experience.

For county residents, the cost of the ride is $28.00. The out-of-county cost is $39.00. For more information about the ride, you can call the office at (908) 789-3665.
