To Prospective Buyers of 9 Red Road:

For the past twenty four years this house has been at the center of our family. The sounds of the kids playing sports in the backyard have been replaced with those of our grandkids riding scooters around the driveway. If the weather was bad the boys and their friends would play soccer with a mini ball or fiddlestix lacrosse in the basement. Other times they would take advantage of the unique layout including the two staircases to play hide and seek or other games that enabled them to have indoor fun in creative ways. The children have moved on but we still get together almost every weekend to have dinner, talk, and play games. In warm weather, that is usually on the spacious back deck. The backyard also served as a beautiful outdoor venue for our daughter’s wedding when Covid changed everything. With a tent, dance floor, lights, music, and the help of our neighbors everyone thought it was incredible.

We love the proximity to everything. From the kids being able to walk to all of their schools to the 5 minute walk downtown for dinner or to the train station. When he was in high school one of the boys said “we live in a perfect location”. Curious to know his thinking I asked him why. His response was that the house is an hour to the shore, an hour to skiing, 15 minutes to the airport to travel, close to NYC by car or train, and has great open areas to bike in including the Great Swamp.

We have great neighbors including those we shared every summer with down the shore when the kids were in grade school all the way through high school. Leaving is hard as we move to the next phase but Red Road and Chatham will always have a place in our heart.

We hope you will have as many great memories in this house as we have.
