About Summit Chorale

Summit Chorale is one of New Jersey’s oldest active choral organizations, celebrating their 100th year during the 2008-2009 season. Led by Artistic Director, Dr. Thomas Juneau, the organization has entered their second century of exciting repertoire and music making.

During this season they perform masterworks of choral literature as well as music from comtemporary composers and explore varied musical styles. They strive for repertoire that will challenge the singers and appeal to a wide audience. Recently performed works include Bach’s Cantate Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott, Corigilano’s Fern Hill, Whitacre’sCloudburst, Brahms Schicksalslied, Lauridson’s O Magnum Mysterium and Conte’s setting of Silent Night.

Summit Chorale is a volunteer chorus. Membership is a blend of recent college graduates, well-qualified amateurs and active professional soloists. Soloists are encouraged to audition, since Summit Chorale’s philosophy is to provide solo opportunities to its members. In addition to performing concerts and weekly rehearsals, members provide the majority of work needed to operate the organization.

Volunteers assist in publicity, fundraising efforts, ticket sales, program publication, and concert staging. The Board of Trustees, elected by the regular membership, is comprised of singing members and community leaders.

• 1 ticket for $5 or 3 tickets for $12 (price value: $300.01 – $500 – red tickets)
• 1 ticket for $5 (price value: over $500 – yellow ticket)

An assortment of tickets valued at $28 and includes the following: 1 white sheet, 15 green tickets, 6 blue tickets, 1 orange ticket.

“Getting Serious” Ticket Pack – $50
An assortment of tickets valued at $60 and includes the following: 2 white sheets, 6 green tickets, 9 blue, 6 orange, 3 red, 1 yellow.

“The Professional” Ticket Pack – $100
An assortment of tickets valued at $125 and includes the following: 5 white sheets, 18 green tickets, 15 blue tickets, 9 orange tickets, 6 red tickets, 4 yellow tickets.
