Q&A With One of Our
Recent Home Seller Clients

Amy’s role at the Sue Adler Team is as our conversation starter. Her history in business development in the capital markets and her love of real estate have come together in this position as she helps families across our area realize their dreams of upsizing and downsizing.

When not helping our clients meet their real estate goals, you can either find Amy volunteering as PTO President at children’s elementary school or playing outside! She spends most of her free time coaching her son’s baseball team and her daughter’s soccer team, organizing their ski club, captaining both her tennis team and platform tennis teams or squeezing in a few holes of golf when she can! Amy lives in Madison with her husband and two children and brings with her a palpable enthusiasm for everything these special suburbs have to offer.

Amy, and the entire Sue Adler team (Kelsey, Aislinn, Jessica and Reem) were such an amazing team. After I attended the very helpful online seminar about selling the house, Amy contacted me on the next day and we sailed together beautifully. Amy has such a positive vibe, very attentive and responsive. In every step away, the entire team took care of each steps for me and with me all the way to the end. I say "just listen to them and do whatever they tell you. Don't argue or fight with them." You will be pleased with the result.Read Less

My wife Mary Jane and I worked with Amy Esposito to purchase our home in Glen Ridge, NJ. We originally met Amy in the fall of 2018 through a work colleague of Mary Jane and we quickly realized that Amy was going to be a good fit. Our search started in Madison and  Chatham, NJ. Amy lived in Madison and provided a tremendous amount of local knowledge about the surrounding towns and the schools as our daughters are 4 and 2 and that was our top priority. We spent most of 2019 looking at homes but decided that we were not ready to make the jump from Hoboken to the burbs. Amy encouraged us to take our time and always kept us updated on any changes in the market after we stopped our search in the summer of 2019. In early 2020 we found a home that really appealed to us in Glen Ridge. We are both from the area, but didn't think that moving back was going to work for us financially given that higher property taxes. We fell in love with the home after an open house and submitted a bid 2 days later. We knew it would be a competitive process and Amy did a lot of research on prices in the area and where homes were sold for vs. the list price as most homes in the town are underpriced to create a bidding war. Amy had us write a personal letter to the sellers and included one of her own. Out of 10 bids, ours was second highest and we were chose because the couple liked our letter, profile and that Amy and their agent worked well together. After we went under contract, Amy worked seamlessly with us through the inspection since it was an older home. She made sure we addressed our concerns with the sellers and advocated for us with their agent around some items we found during inspection. We are now in our new home and are very happy. Buying our forever home was a long process and a bit scary given the financial outlay, but we had Amy as our advocate to guide us through the process. I highly recommend Amy to anyone looking for a home. Her knowledge, personality and her care for her clients shows and our family is happy in our new home because of it.Read Less

My husband and I were living in Manhattan with our two young sons when we realized that our growing family needed to? take the plunge? into the suburbs. At the time, I knew the Short Hills/Summit area by reputation through associates at work, but I wasn't familiar enough with the neighborhoods and streets to make an informed decision on a specific house. I also knew that we were looking at some of the nicer homes in the area and that our specific needs might be challenging for any realtor to fill. My own lack of familiarity with the area gave me some cause from concern, because I didn't want to be steered in the wrong direction by an over-zealous realtor who was anxious to make a sale. Luckily, I found Sue Adler to help me with what has turned out to be the biggest and most important move of my life. It became apparent to me early in our relationship that Sue believes that open and honest communication between a realtor and client will result in the best outcome for all parties involved. Sue was always straight and forthcoming with me. She treated my wishes with respect, she worked very, very hard, and she was consistently upbeat and a pleasure to talk to through the entire process. Also, I was very impressed with Sue’s ability to close a deal. Once I knew which house I wanted to buy, Sue worked quickly and impeccably to get the deal done. In a competitive marketplace, her years of experience and sharp instincts played an important role in our ability to buy the home that we are now living in and enjoying immensely. With Sue Adler’s help, we truly feel that we have made the best possible decision for our family.Read Less
