Local Farms Open For Business

Getting frustrated with online delivery services? If you don’t feel like waking at 2:00 am to get that coveted delivery spot, local New Jersey farms are offering fresh produce and specialty grocery items to your front door or for curbside pick up.

Alstede Farms (Chester) offers curbside pickup and local delivery for its range of fruits and veggies, meats, pasta, dairy and baked goods. Orders can be placed online – they call when it’s ready for pickup. In addition, Alstede hosts a CSA where members can can receive fresh produce each week.

Prince’s Farm Stand (Mountainside) offers pick up, local farm-fresh produce, milk, eggs, cheese, breads and pies at their stand in Union County. Zero contact pick up can be arranged through email or phone, and local delivery is available.

Dreyer Farms (Cranford) is offering CSA shares starting now for the next 33 weeks. Boxes range in size and include locally sourced veggies, fruits, meats, bread, milk, pasta and MORE. They even include freshly cut flowers.

Wightman’s Farms (Morristown) is taking curbside orders online (via email) beginning every morning at 8am with a cutoff when they reach 60.  They also offer delivery services for high risk customers.  Check out their website for their offerings.  They also offer a CSA where you can receive fresh produce each week.

Delicious Orchards (Colts Neck) offers a pre-packed curbside pick up box daily. A list of fresh and specialty items are posted each morning in that day’s pre-pack on the store’s Facebook Page and Instagram.

Gro-Rite, a garden center in Lincoln Park that has a farm in Belvidere, partnered with its Hillview company, is offering  Harvest to Home. Harvest drops fresh fruit, veggies, eggs and beverages to homes in Bergen, Essex, Morris, Passaic and Hudson counties. It’s also offering meats and dairy.

Ort Farms (Long Valley) This local farm is offering delivery within an 8 mile distance from their online store.  They also provide contactless curbside pick up for all of their fresh produce, meats, dairy and more!

Profeta Farms (Readington) Offering a wide variety of local produce, artisan cheeses, meats and poultry, eggs & dairy, bakery item and specialty items, Profeta will deliver to your front door.  Call the farm for more details.

Norz Hill Farm and Market (Hillsborough) Fresh eggs, dairy, produce and a large variety of meats can be found at this outdoor market.  Call for more information.

PKS Four Brothers Farm (Bernardsville) This family-owned farm is providing meat, eggs, and some prepared food. Inventory changes daily so check the farm website for availability.
