Kathleen was incredible!!! I was such a skeptic of Reql estate agents in NJ as we moved from California looking for a home. She was patient and helped find is exactly what WE wanted ( not just me ??). She was kind and generous with sharing comps and backgrounds of homes and neighborhoods. Laura was our broker when we were looking to buy in 2021 in NJ in a seller's market. We started off with having many towns in mind with little idea about the home we wanted, but Laura was masterful in getting us organized and think about the homes we were seeing, the towns we were considering. Over the 3 months during our search, she always asked us questions on why we liked or didn't like certain homes and that really helped us be thoughtful about what we wanted. Although she sent many homes for us to review, we just used Zillow as the main platform and would send her listings of homes we thought we wanted to see. She was super responsive throughout. Once we found the home Laura was quick and worked with the seller's broker to help us through the closing. After interviewing top Westfield agents, we decided to list with The Sue Adler Team and I can say they are hands down the best real estate team we have ever worked with. They had gotten a record breaking price for the custom newer home down the street and we had a unique updated character home with a carriage house and pool which we anticipated might be a tougher sale, but Sue and her team came through for us! As soon as the house was listed, they created a group text so the communication was seamless throughout. Now here is the best part... What really sets this team apart from any other agents is their transaction management team, led by Chris. His role is to be the seller's advocate in inspection negotiations and the contract to close process and he has experience with every type of contractor under the sun so the process moved along smoothly. He is level headed and the voice of reason. When I spoke with Sue after we closed, I told her that she needs to stress this point of difference at the listing appointment, since I don't know of any other agent that has a dedicated home inspection negotiator looking out for their sellers. We can't recommend Kathleen Lamendola enough! She is the best realtor in the area! The housing market has been interesting to say the least in 2022, and you really need someone that will be by your side and work with your best interests in mind. Kathleen does all that and more. Initially, we were working with another agent/agency in buying a home in Westfield, NJ, and the agency just didn't seem to be a fit for our family. Kathleen Lamendola came highly recommended from a mutual friend and we reached out to her team and quickly had a return call. Kathleen spent a session getting to know us and exactly what we wanted in our next home. We also discussed our budget and what we were comfortable with. She clearly listened as she would send us a list of houses that met our criteria, as well as videos when she would do walk-throughs herself. If we had a question about a house that came up on other sites, she would give us information as to why it would or wouldn't be a good fit for us. This really helped as we didn't spend countless hours driving around town to visit houses that wouldn't be a good fit.
