Zach was a great partner throughout the entire home buying process. He began by understanding what we were looking for in a home, then toured us through different neighborhoods so we would understand which ones fit our preferences. Laura was great to work with - very patient across our multi-year process of finding our home. Kathleen was incredible!!! I was such a skeptic of Reql estate agents in NJ as we moved from California looking for a home. She was patient and helped find is exactly what WE wanted ( not just me ??). She was kind and generous with sharing comps and backgrounds of homes and neighborhoods. She played a diligent negotiator once we found our dream home, and held us back from over bidding! She also helped us during escrow and inspections to ensure we didnt waste any money. She even stayed at the house through inspections to help us understand inspection results. Louise was terrific. She listened carefully to our requirements and made every attempt to satisfy our “must have” list. She literally took us from upper Bergen County down to southern Middlesex County where we finally purchased a home that checked all the boxes. If you are serious about buying or selling and you admire someone with integrity who will not push you to buy what isn’t good for you, choose Louise; you won’t be disappointed. BTW: Louise advised us to take the purchase in Middlesex which was $350,000 less than the house we liked in Bergen County. They were literally the same home…only the price was different! Kathleen Lamendola has been amazing to work with. We are first time buyers who decided to purchase in the crazy sellers market of fall 2021. Right from helping us figure out what we actually wanted, what was affordable in our price range and how to go about the process, Kathleen handheld us through it all. She is very knowledgeable about the whole process, and worked with us with a lot of patience as we figured out what exactly is our dream home. When we zeroed in on the house we wanted finally, in May 2022, Kathleen was instrumental in helping us understand the market and lining up the various inspections that would be necessary for the home we wanted. This particular deal however fell through and did not close. Kathleen stayed in close communication with the sellers agent and the attorneys through it all. Even after we ended up back in the market looking for our dream home in June 2022, Kathleen was a great help in arranging visits to all the homes that might fit our criteria despite her own trying personal circumstances at the time. When we finalized our current house, Kathleen went above and beyond by scheduling and coordinating the multiple inspections for us at short notice. She also stepped in for us on occasions when we were unavailable to supervise. Our closing timeline (of Aug 2022) made life a bit chaotic, as we chose to close only a few days before our baby was due - we wanted to welcome our newborn in our new home. Kathleen managed the entire closing process for us. She was very flexible with her time, and made us feel like her only clients. She also helped us navigate our options so we closed on time. Even now, that we have moved into our new home, we continue to rely on Kathleen's network of contacts and experience to help us transition into the role of homeowners. My wife and I worked with Vikas from February 2022 until May 2022, when we closed on the home we ended up buying. I work in northeast Pennsylvania and commute by car, whereas my wife works in NYC and commutes by train. Therefore, easy/quick accessibility to NJ Transit train station and I-80/I-78 were important factors. Vikas started by helping us identify New Jersey towns and neighborhoods that would work best for us, based on our commutes and other key factors. Next, Vikas provided us with listings, as they became available in the towns / neighborhoods that we were interested in. He met with us, whenever we asked him to, for open houses or walk-throughs at the homes we were interested in. When we found homes that we were interested in, Vikas not not only provided us with comps on other homes in the neighborhood that had sold over the past 12 months, but also explained to us what the numbers meant and what range a competitive offer should fall within. This guidance was extremely helpful given how aggressive the market was at that time. The first offer we made on a home we liked, while above the listing price, was not nearly as high as it needed to be in order to succeed. Vikas knew this and explained this to us, but he never pressured us to increase our offer since he could tell that we weren't as excited about this home as we needed to be in order to increase the offer. Although we did not get the home, that experience really increased our trust for Vikas. We knew we were working with the right agent, whose primary motivation was to help us end up in a home that we would be excited to live in. As we continued our search, we made two other offers, and Vikas helped us through those. We ended up getting the home we wanted - one that we were really excited to live in - in March. My wife Mary Jane and I worked with Amy Esposito to purchase our home in Glen Ridge, NJ. We originally met Amy in the fall of 2018 through a work colleague of Mary Jane and we quickly realized that Amy was going to be a good fit. Our search started in Madison and  Chatham, NJ. Four years ago,  I started throwing an annual client party for two reasons. Since we didn’t own a car, our knowledge of the surrounding suburban areas was limited. We met Amy after being referred to her group by several friends. Amy spent the first couple weekends taking us on tours of Chatham, Summit, New Providence, Short Hills, Millburn, Maplewood and South Orange. The purpose was to get us familiar with the communities. It was great! Soon we were looking at houses. We had only lived in condos. Amy was great at explaining everything we didn’t understand (SUP pumps??). After a couple weeks, we figured out what we wanted in a house. At a social event, Amy had a casual conversation with someone that was considering selling their home. After hearing the description and then visiting the house, she knew it fit our requirements to a tee. We made a special trip out to see the home, and made an offer later that night. After some good negotiating on Amy’s end, the offer was accepted. Amy is extremely knowledgeable of the towns along the midtown direct train lines. She works hard for her buyers; educating them about the neighborhoods and diligently searches for appropriate houses. I think she will do a great job for you too!

Susie has an extremely calming warm demeanor, which is invaluable when navigating a process as stressful as buying and or selling a home and moving. Invariably there are things that happen that make the process even more stressful than you expect, and having someone like Susie to work with makes all the difference.

My wife and I recently decided to move out of Manhattan to purchase a house. Neither of us are from the NJ area and enlisted Sue Adler's help in showing us around the Summit/Millburn/Maplewood/Short Hills area, explaining the differences and what would best fit our lifestyles. Last summer I decided to satisfy my curiosity and check out the open house taking place right down the street from my house in Maplewood.
