Let’s just say that Sue and Dawn went way, way, way above and beyond what you’d expect from a real estate agent.

If you were going to sell your house, you’d have to come up with reasons why you wouldn’t ask Sue to take on the challenge. She’s that good.

Okay, so there are several caveats. First, Sue and I have been friends and colleagues long before she helped me sell my house in MIllburn. Second, some of this review is not just Sue herself, but her team, especially Dawn Preziosi, her transactions manager. Third, I’m likely not your typical consumer since I work in the industry and know too much.

Having said that, if you were going to sell your house in one of Sue’s markets, you’d have to come up with reasons why you wouldn’t ask her to take on the challenge. You should start with, “Is there any reason why I shouldn’t use Sue?”  She’s that good.

Local knowledge — there may be other agents who have a better pulse on what is going on with the market at any given time. I just don’t know them. She and her team handle so many listings, handle so many buyers, and are doing so many deals that they have a really, really good grasp of what’s going on, what buyers are thinking, what features are important, and which are not. She knows the towns, the neighborhoods, the schools, what it’s like to live there… pretty impressive for a Philly native. One piece of advice: if you’re going to list with Sue, just listen to her advice on pricing. You might think your house is one-in-a-million exception, but she has a far better grasp on the market than you do. You hire her for that knowledge and insight, so don’t argue with her. Read more

“I became a fan of Sue Adler when I first met her about 4 years ago in one of the many open houses I like to go into (I like to look at houses even if I am not in the market for one ? kind of a crazy hobby of mine). After I met Sue I knew that if I were ever in the market to either sell or buy she would undoubtedly be the person I would choose to work with. For four years, she has kept me updated about homes and I have visited many (if not all) of her open houses in the Millburn/Short Hills area. Four years ago,  I started throwing an annual client party for two reasons. The first is obvious – to show my clients appreciation for being so amazing to me.  After the first party I realized how many friendships were formed from my party because so many of our team’s buyers are new to Short Hills, Maplewood, Livingston, Summit, Chatham, etc..  So in many ways, I feel like its become more of a Newcomers Club party, where we have new relocation buyers coming each year, as well as our yearly regulars, who have made friends with each other. Its always alot of fun.

Needless to say, when I saw the client inverviews in the video, it made me smile. I’m really proud of my team.  Other agents always are trying to figure out our success but the truth of the matter is -  at the end of the day, aside from the skill it takes to do what we do, if you work from your heart and are truly an advocate for your client, and care, that’s what matters most and what the clients remember in the end.

My wife and I worked with Sue Adler to find a home in the New Jersey suburbs after living in Manhattan for many years. Sue and her team made the process much easier than it could have been! She was a wealth of information when it came to helping us narrow down the towns that we wanted to focus on. Once we started focusing on certain towns, she went out of her way to understand exactly what we were looking for. That allowed her to really help us focus on homes that she thought that we would like, and in neighborhoods that would work with with two small children. Sue also had great insights to share about the relative quality and pricing on the homes that we saw. We really valued her input and opinions. Team is the key word, as there were a number of people involved in helping us out in a completely seamless manner, and they were all great. Sue’s transaction coordinator, Dawn, was a life-saver throughout the closing process. Just so incredibly helpful and responsive.

As I look back on the home buying process, it seems seems surprisingly easy in hindsight, and I have no doubt that Sue and her team are largely responsible for that.
